OK OK, I suppose I had better respond and tell the embarissing story.
2004 - First trip to Le Mans - As I have a people wagon I offered to be support vehicle, you know the type of thing, carry the tents, barbeque, gazzebo, and all the stuff the sports car johnies and bikers could not fit in. Had a great runn down and enjoyed the weekend, however I started to notice an oil leak and a knocking from the engine on the way home. By the time we got to Calais the engine was spraying oil out the back of the car (which we found quite funny but the guy behind, in the now polka dot Lamborghini did not find nearly so ammusing

) We managed to get the old bus off the boat but it died on the hill outside Dover - no problem as we still had the deck chairs, wine, beer etc.
1 and a half hours later the Britannia Rescue man turned up and we were on our way again

Via recovery truck

2005 - second trip to Le Mans - Agian in a people wagon, and again running support vehicle, just with a bit less weight in it this time (unless you count TVR Rules). All was going well, a nice run down, until we got to Chatres where the old girl started to overheat - Not a little bit - A LOT. Managed to coax it about anouthe 20k before it completly died (cracked head and buggered water pump). Again contacted Britannia Rescue (who were begining to think this was part of my fuel saving stratergy). The nice lady at their call centre arranged for a Recovery truck to pick us up - your beginning to see the theame here aren't you - and then a taxi to get us and all our kit to the campsite. Then arranged for a Hire car (people wagon again) to get us arround whilst we were there and back to the port, then a car from Dover which I kept for 3 weeks, until the people wagon arrived home - on a recovery truck.
2006 - Third trip to Le Mans - Got there and back with no problems at all - mainly cos we took J6 YOB's XJR and not some tatty old deisel people wagon. Next year I'm taking the MG or the Porsche - so will be re newing my european cover. Although I might consider buying a TVR as anythin has to be mor reliable than my Toyota's.
As for what recovery/Breakdown cover to get Britannia Rescue Platinum cover Is the NUTS

Worth it's weight in gold. So much better than all the hassle Dean had with the AA.
